The client carried two 2009 Class 4 felony convictions, one for a marijuana offense and one for misconduct involving weapons. Future First secured a Maricopa Set Aside Felony result: the court vacated both judgments, granted a Certificate of Second Chance, and restored the client’s firearm rights.

The challenge
The client made a serious mistake at 27. The case ended in 2009 with two felony convictions and probation, which the court terminated early in 2011. For more than a decade the client stayed clean, worked, and built a life. The felony record did not move on with him.
A felony conviction strips civil rights, including the right to possess a firearm. It blocks jobs and professional licenses. It follows you on every background check. Fourteen years of good conduct does not erase it. Only a court order does. That is what a Maricopa Set Aside Felony result delivers.
What we did
Future First filed the application to set aside both convictions under ARS § 13-905. We documented full completion of the sentence, the early termination of probation, payment of all obligations, and a long record of law-abiding conduct. We asked the court for three things: set aside the judgments, issue a Certificate of Second Chance, and restore the right to possess a firearm.
The Maricopa County Superior Court granted all three. The court set aside both Class 4 felony judgments, dismissed the charges, issued a Certificate of Second Chance, and restored the client’s firearm rights under ARS § 13-910. The Maricopa Set Aside Felony order came through 104 days after filing.
A Maricopa Set Aside Felony application is strongest when it gives the court the full picture: completion, rehabilitation, and time. We built that record so the judge could grant the relief in full.
What our clients say
Read verified reviews from people we have helped clear their records:
If you have an old felony in Arizona
Arizona lets you apply to set aside a felony conviction once you complete your sentence and probation. The set aside vacates the judgment of guilt and releases you from the penalties of the conviction. For many felonies it also opens the door to restoring civil rights and firearm rights.
A Certificate of Second Chance adds protection for employment and housing. Firearm rights restoration under ARS § 13-910 is a separate request, and the court can grant it for most non-dangerous, non-serious felonies. Federal law may still apply, so the analysis matters.
Time and conduct help. A long clean record, completed probation, and paid obligations give the court strong reasons to grant the relief. A complete application puts all of it in front of the judge.
